Every household with someone aged 60 or over is entitled to help towards their winter energy costs.
Under the Government’s winter fuel payments scheme, you can make a claim if you had reached the qualifying age on or before 27 September 2009.
When can I claim winter fuel allowance?
Winter Fuel Payment is not means tested. You can get it if you’re working or claiming a benefit. You can automatically qualify for a Winter Fuel Payment for winter 2019/2020 if both the following apply: you have reached the qualifying age which means you were born on or before 5 April 1954.

Who can claim warm home discount?
The Warm Home Discount is a government scheme that gives extra help to people struggling with their energy bills. It’s regulated by Ofgem and if you’re eligible you’ll get a one-off annual rebate to help with your energy bill.
Is there a cold weather payment due?
